Preparation scope and documents

What these forms do

SER-001 is the Request for Sheriff to Serve Court Papers. SER-001A provides special instructions for writs and levies when applicable. They are instructions to the Sheriff, not a new case filed with the court. California Courts explains when the additional form is needed.

For an accepted writ-enforcement instruction packet, the required SER-001A is not treated as a more expensive upgrade. A request that declines needed information or required instructions goes to review rather than producing an incomplete packet.

What you provide

Corrections or returned documents from an earlier packet are reviewed against its existing coverage before a new charge is quoted.

Where the completed paperwork goes

The client delivers the completed instruction packet and required records to the appropriate Sheriff’s Office and pays any official fees separately. This offer is document preparation, not physical service, enforcement or a Sheriff delivery service.

A court-issued writ, a request for Sheriff enforcement and proof of service serve different purposes. Sheriff instruction forms are delivered to the Sheriff, not filed with the court.

Already purchased this work?

We review your earlier agreement, prepared packet and payments before quoting additional work. Work already included or paid for is not sold again as a new standalone packet.
